Matcha (Green Tea) Frappé

Matcha Frappe

I bet you know damn well about this Matcha Frappé.  I'm not going to write the word as that is a trademark product which is registered under a Seattle's world famous coffee shop.

Matcha is green tea powder in Japanese.  I didn't realize that I have this pic that I took on November 2010.  I was thinking it's a good time to post this Matcha Frappé this week since the weather is a bit warmer here.  FYI, When I crave for something like ice cream or frappé, I don't really care what season we have.  As long as I feel like having it, I will enjoy my ice cream in the winter. :)

Matcha is something that I enjoy as much as coffee and chocolate.  I often add matcha to my morning smoothie for breakfast.

Matcha (Green Tea) Frappé

Ingredients:
2 teaspoons matcha (green tea powder)
200 mL (7 oz) almond milk (you can use soy milk, rice milk, 2% milk, evaporated milk, or condensed milk)
add sugar, agave nextar, stevia or vanilla flavoured syrup to your liking
ice cubes
whipped cream

Methods:
In a blender, process all ingredients until well-mix. Transfer to each two serving glass. Spray whipped cream on top.

Cook's Note:
* A blender that has a square jug/glass will process better than the round one. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, please pay attention when you go to a coffee shop that serves a frappé or smoothie. See how the blender looks like.
